"Drama Kids has embraced both of my kids - their strengths, their weaknesses, their quirks, their individuality - I know they truly care about creating kind and talented children of character. So thankful to be part of the Drama Kids family!" "Thank you Ms. Deanna for being a passionate and dedicated director. I could not forget your enthusiasm the first time I called to inquire about this program. Drama Kids is truly unique where all kinds of kids are given the opportunity to shine on stage. Even though my daughter is a quiet girl, I realized that she likes to be on stage and is not afraid to perform in front of an audience. Next year she's off to high school and I believe that the experiences she had in Drama Kids will give her the confidence to face challenges in high school - on and off stage." "The teachers have so much passion and energy, and it's contagious in the best way!" "My drama teachers inspire me because they let me know that it is okay to be quirky and express yourself sometimes. They help me build my self confidence on stage and off. Every teacher I have encountered at Drama Kids has greeted me with a smile and teaches me with enthusiasm, which even on a bad day can make me feel good! I am very grateful to be a student at Drama Kids... and that is how each and every teacher inspires me every time I go to class!" "Thank you Drama Mama and Miss Jillian for such a wonderful year of drama fun! I can’t thank you both enough for what you both have done for my son! We are so proud of him for earning his special award for his hard work and genuine enthusiasm for drama. He’s sad he has to wait till September for Drama to start again! Such a wonderful place for kids to be creative!" "I love how in Drama Kids you are allowed to be who you are and also pretend to be someone else. Its always fun and I never feel left out. I love to watch my teachers do crazy funny things and be themselves. It makes me happy to be able to have fun and let go. They inspire me to just be free." "My Drama Kids teachers inspire me in each and every class how to be more open, more passionate, more dramatic, and more spontaneous! From the moment I first stepped into the classroom more than 7 years ago, my teachers began changing me for the better, showing me to how to accept myself and have the confidence to step onto that brightly lit stage. All of their teaching and advice over the years has shaped who I am today and taught me more than any college class I've taken!" "I love Drama Kids of the Capital Region. My kids have grown up with this program and have really enjoyed going here. Staff and Drama Mama have been amazing over the years. So glad we tried this out many years ago and stuck with it. Thank you!" "My Drama teachers have inspired me to be more positive, not only to myself but to the world. They inspire me, and everyone, to take risks, because that is what you need to do in real life if you want to succeed. And I always feel I succeed in Drama!" "Just wanted to send you all a quick thank you! This year was great. Our Drama Kids loved every minute of it! Every Tuesday morning was a joy, because they wake up soooo happy – its Drama Kids day…. The shows yesterday were fantastic! So many great kids!" "My teachers make me feel free to be creative, and fun, and funny. I feel energized whenever I'm with them in class." "Drama Kids is an amazing place where all three of my kids have flourished and found how amazing the stage can be. The teachers are patient and caring, and we as a family truly cannot say enough positive things about Deana, aka Drama Mama. She truly cares about each student as if she/he was her own. She’s easy to communicate with and has made our past 7 years with Drama Kids, a wonderful experience. Your child will not only learn so much about him or herself, but have fun doing so."

Or you may schedule a make-up session at any of our school break camps at OSL. We will not issue credits or refunds for missed classes. Please view other class locations and starting times on our website: dramakids.com/albany-ny Holidays. Drama Kids does not hold class during most major holidays. But don't worry, parents, you are not charged for those classes! You are only charged for the 33 classes (including performances) held throughout the year, Sep-May. However, if you enroll before September, that registration fee is waived. Our Spring Performance session includes a $50 performance fee which covers your child's trophy and an unlimited number of tickets to our Spring Plays held at the EGG in May. This fee will be applied to your card on May 15. (This fee is included for students enrolled in our add-on Performance Academy class). What is your Snow/ Bad Weather Policy? Call (518) 458-1313 for a recorded message if the weather is in doubt. We will also send an email notice whether or not class is cancelled. We do not follow the Public School closings, unless our class is held at a Public School. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for inclement weather and cannot extend our term into future weeks, or offer refunds. However, if a class is missed due to inclement weather, a student may make it up by attending a class offered at a different Drama Kids location during the same week. You can even schedule a make-up session during our school break day camps at Our Savior's in Colonie!
What should my child wear to class? Usually whatever your child wears to school that day is fine! We recommend that girls do not wear dresses or skirts unless they have shorts underneath. Drama Kids does have special "dress up days" occasionally. Dressing up is not required, but only serves to enhance your child's experience. We will let you know in advance what these theme days will consist of. Additional questions? At anytime if you wish to contact us, call (518) 458-1313 or email your Director, Deanna, at [email protected], or our Office Administrator at [email protected]. Each year our Drama Kids take the stage at the Egg in downtown Albany to perform their Spring Plays! The performances serve to showcase our students' skill development over the course of the year. We begin our Spring Performance session with our students in February, and continue with rehearsals throughout May. This year our Spring Performance weekend falls on May 28 - 31 ... SAVE THE DATES! Early February we will announce the exact day and time of your child's own Spring Performance. Oh no! That's the same weekend as my daughter's dance recital!!! Never fear! Notify us as soon as possible and we will do everything in our power to schedule your child's performance around any major conflict. However, conflicts must be brought to our attention by January, before we release the final schedule of performances. Is the anticipation killing you? We know how you feel! Why not take a look at our 2018 Spring Performance highlight reel to hold you over! As you will see... the difference is dramatic! |
