"I want to thank you and your staff for always making class fun and positive for the kids. My girls' absolute favorite thing is and was Drama Kids!" - Parent of DPS Elementary Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything that you all do it made my heart so happy to see Ty enjoying himself! He said he's going to do drama every year!! - Parent of Bell Top Elementary "My daughter has challenges focusing, requiring reminders in so many areas of her daily activities. This program is the one we are the least involved because whatever magic you are doing in there has got a hold of her attention like never seen before. This program has made a lasting impression." - Parent of Genet Elementary "Wow!!! That was beyond amazing. All the kids did fantastic. Marie really was so appreciative of you all giving her a chance. She was very letdown in [another program] this winter and spring and ended up quitting and losing some self-esteem. She got to choose between soccer and drama kids, and chose you guys every Tuesday. So thank you. We love you all." - Parent of Bell Top Elementary "Alicia had a wonderful learning experience working with you lovely teachers with Drama Kids. She loved the sessions, and always looked forward to participating in the productions from large to small- she loved learning how to develop the character, and give them their own special nuance. We are hoping that you will be able to make the transition with all of us that participated with you at the Elementary level!" - Parent of DPS Elementary "I have heard from Emily's teacher and other teacher's how delighted they were to see my daughter come out of her shell and come alive on stage One of the best investments of her time we have given to our daughter. It does help mold who she is and will last a life time. She loves her well-earned yearly awards. Looking forward to year 4 in the fall." - Parent of DPS Elementary "Thank you for all of your hard work and effort. I used to coach high-school football and I completely understand and know you speak from your heart because you truly care for all the kids in your program. I just can't thank you enough for everything you have done and continue to do for my daughter. Your program is by far the best extracurricular activity they do and I am so grateful." - Parent of Genet Elementary "Thank you so much for reaching out to us and for all your hard work and dedication to LindaRae and to the Genet Drama Kids class. LindaRae adores you and practicing for her is a pleasure, she loves Drama Kids! On a personal side note in my time before becoming a stay at home mom I was an elementary teacher and I know without a doubt how lucky Drama Kids is to have you. Only a teacher who truly loves and cares for their students gets emotional. I have had very similar moments when I taught and they came from a deep love of my students. I will be rooting for all of you on Thursday night." - Genet Elementary Parent "Jillian has thoroughly enjoyed her years with drama kids and it has been wonderful to see her confidence grow. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication and know you want the best for the kids. She is very excited for her last Genet performance!" - Parent of Genet Elementary See more pictures and #FUN on our class blog pages!

Each week we will be choosing one of our dramatic classes to highlight for our #ClassoftheWeek! This week we have chosen the Guilderland Senior Acting Academy class! "This class is a class act. I have never met such an outstanding group of young people. They set an example of how people should treat one another that we adults should follow. Always having great energy, this group has lots of laughs together because they trust in each other. That safety net allows them to truly flourish as young actors and as young people in general!" - Miss Jillian In-Class Photo Gallery#FilmFriday movieEach week we will be choosing one of our dramatic classes to highlight for our #ClassoftheWeek! This week we have chosen the Colonie Saturday Upper Primary class! "Saturday morning might be a time for sleeping in for some, but for the kids of the Colonie Upper Primary Drama Kids class it's a time for creating theater magic. This spirited group of buccaneers have been sailing the high seas of their imaginations since the beginning of the year, and have set their bearings on what's sure to be a brilliant performance at The Egg in just a couple short weeks. From the magical goddesses and sirens, to the cursed immortals and pirate scallywags, these kids have been pouring their hearts and minds into creating an adventure that's second to none. For us teachers, it's been such a joy to help it take shape, and we can't wait to see their final performance!" - Mr. Tony "These guys and gals may arrive with sleep in their eyes, but as soon as we begin class they wake up with an energy that's second to none! What a joy it is to see young people wanting to spend their Saturday mornings creating theatre. I'm so glad I have been able to get to know this group over the past few months. I can't imagine a better way to start my weekend :)" - Miss Jillian In-Class Photo Gallery#FilmFriday VIDEO!Each week we will be choosing one of our dramatic classes to highlight for our #ClassoftheWeek! This week we have chosen the Genet Lower Primary class! The Genet Lower Primary class has so much energy and are more dramatic than so many other kids their age! They keep me on my toes every week! We can't wait to see them shine at our Spring Performance - THIS THURSDAY!" - Miss Destiny In-Class Photo Gallery#FilmFridayEach week we will be choosing one of our dramatic classes to highlight for our #ClassoftheWeek! This week we have chosen the Clifton Park Thursday Lower Primary class! "This class is such a fun and caring group. Each week they have grown, learning new skills and building friendships. We have so much fun in class! I can't wait for their performance! I know the audience will love them as much as I do. They are the sweetest class ever!" - Miss Kathryn In-Class Photo GalleryStay Tuned for an all new #FilmFriday later this week!As in years past, our fabulous theatrical make-up artists will be on hand so that the kids can be made up to look like the STARS they truly are! This is completely optional, and is only a service we provide to make the kids feel extra special the day of their show. So there is absolutely NO pressure for them to get their make-up done.
For those that would like to take advantage of this, please note that it will be a very QUICK process (we have only 3-5 minutes per child!!!). The kids will have a few samples to choose from, but we do not have time to give them a completely customized look. If that is what they desire, I recommend that they have their make-up done at home. Or if your child has any sensitivity or allergies, please provide your own make-up or do it at home. We will be sectioning off an area of the upstairs lobby for make-up. Parents, please stay with your child while they are waiting to get their make-up done. Once they are finished, you may escort them into the theatre where you both may quietly sit and watch the rehearsal in progress. (NOTE: Only ONE Parent is allowed to accompany the child in the theatre!) Each week we will be choosing one of our dramatic classes to highlight for our #ClassoftheWeek! This week we have chosen the Bell Top Elementary Upper Primary class! "The thing I love most about this class is how supportive they are of each other! They are always willing to help each other out. Oh and all of their energy of course!" - Miss Destiny "This class is never short on energy! Even though by the time they get to Drama Kids they have been through an entire day of school, they bring their "A" game to drama every week. And with that energy comes a lot of laughter. I look forward to seeing what they will come up with next each week." - Miss Jillian In-Class Photo Gallery#FilmFriday Video!Student Intern & Teaching Apprentice Manager "Theater changed me from a shy, insecure 13 year old, to the confident, secure woman I am today.
